    Notes:

Sam was a lover. I remember an argument between he and Helen (these arguments were always conducted with the largest possible audience of young children) wherein Helen complained about Sam's constant sexual demands. Sam said he didn't understand her problem since it only took three minutes. She allowed as how that was so and stopped complaining about it. Their young high school-aged daughter, Carolyn (a.k.a. "Binky" who later became a 300-pounder) said, "It may only be on three minutes but it sure is noisy and always wakes me up. All this at a time when I still couldn't bring myself to believe that my parents every had had sex.

Samuel — Helen DeCock. Helen (daughter of Joseph DeCock and Leontine Louise De smet) was born 24 Dec 1918, New York; died 17 Jan 2009, Union Lake, Oakland, Michigan. [Group Sheet]

    Notes:

Helen was undeniably refined as evidenced by her yelling out from the bathroom for her husband while we were visiting: "Sam! I'm out of ass wipes!" As if that wasn't proof enough; we arrived at there home unexpectedly for our regular after-church-coffee-and-rolls only to be met at the door by and obviously disoriented and recently risen Helen who responded to Sam's yell from the bedroom for her to get the door: "J... C... Sam, I'm up. You blew me right out of bed." This was in reference to Sam's almost legendary flatulence - legendary not for it's volume or pitch but rather for his being oblivious to it and to its rather potent affects. Helen also developed some skill at proctophonics but, to demonstrate her good breeding, she would always immediately say, "The doctor told me to do that." What kind of a vicious mankind-hating doctor would tell her to do that, you ask, but your question goes unanswered.
